La Semaine européenne de la vaccination se tient cette année du 20 au 25 avril 2015. Les résultats plutôt encourageants annonçaient que 79% des Français se disent favorables à la vaccination en 2014, contre seulement 61,5% en 2010, selon l'Institut national de prévention et d'éducation pour la santé (INPES). Ainsi les couvertures vaccinales sont stables voire en hausse notamment chez les enfants. Cependant, selon le Généraliste "les couvertures vaccinales sont encore insuffisantes pour J le reste de la population", notamment contre le méningocoque, le papillomavirus ou encore la grippe. Lors du Congrès de médecine générale, il a été annoncé que même les médecins restaient réticents sur certains nouveaux vaccins. Ces réticences concernent notamment le vaccin contre l'HPV. Ainsi, moins de 20% des jeunes filles qui ont eu 15 ans en 2014 se sont fait vacciner contre les papillomavirus. Des progrès restent encore à faire... JVaccin contre Papillomavirus Humains (HPV) : état de connaissance ) Le vaccin contre l'HPV a été développé pour la prévention des lésions génitales précancéreuses, lésions anales précancéreuses, du cancer du col de l'utérus et du cancer anal dus à certains types oncogènes de l'HPV ainsi que les verrues génitales dues à des types HPV spécifiques. Les résultats des enquêtes menées en France démontrent une chute de la couverture vaccinale observée à l'adolescence. Il est fréquent que les comportements de l'adolescent le rendent peu réceptif à la prévention médicale. De plus, la perception qu'ont les parents de la vaccination n'est pas la même par rapport à un nourrisson et un adolescent. Ce dernier étant peu malade ne va pas souvent chez le médecin. Aussi, au collège et au lycée, la mise à jour des vaccins dans les carnets de santé est beaucoup moins contrôlée qu'à l'école primaire.

Most women who die from cervical cancer, particularly in developing countries, are in the prime of their life. They may be raising children, caring for their family, and contributing to the social and economic life of their town or village. These guidelines have been developed to support countries to relieve pain in their paediatric populations. These guidelines address persisting pain in children caused by conditions such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle-cell disease, burns, trauma, and phantom limb pain. Recommendations -- developed following a careful and transparent appraisal of available evidence -- are presented for the pharmacological treatment of mild, moderate and severe pain. The guidelines include chapters on the various systems used to classify pain and on the evaluation of pain, which reviews the available tools for routine pain measurement in children.
