Book Description
Recent QCD jet production measurements in p{bar p} collisions at (square root)s = 1.96 TeV at the Tevatron Collider at Fermilab are presented. Preliminary: inclusive jet, dijet, isolated photon + jet and Z + jets measurements are compared to available perturbative QCD models.

Book Description
This contribution reports preliminary jet results in p{bar p} collisions at {radical}s = 1.96 TeV from the CDF and D0 experiments. The jet inclusive cross section, measured using both the Midpoint and the K{sub T} jet clustering algorithm, is compared to next-to-leading order QCD prediction in different rapidity regions. The b-jet inclusive cross section measured exploiting the long lifetime and large mass of B hadrons is presented and compared to QCD prediction. A complementary measurement, using the large branching fraction of B hadrons into muons, is also described. The measurement of two-particle momentum correlation in jets is presented and compared to predictions.

Book Description
We report a new measurement of the pseudorapidity and transverse-energy (E{sub T}) dependence of the inclusive jet production cross section in p{bar p} collisions at √s = 1:8 TeV using 95 pb−1 of data collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The differential cross section d2?/(dE{sub T}d?) is presented up to {vert_bar}?{vert_bar} = 3, significantly extending previous measurements. The results are in good overall agreement with next-to-leading order predictions from QCD, indicate a preference for certain parton distribution functions, and provide the world's best constraint on the gluon distribution at high parton momentum fraction x.

Book Description
We present results on high[ital p[sub T]] jet physics from the CDF and D[null] experiments at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. Recent results on the inclusive jet cross-section at[radical][ital s]= 1.8 TeV will be presented and compared with QCD. We will also present results on the dijet angular distribution. Limits on quark compositeness are presented from the CDF dijet angular distribution. Finally we will discuss the results on the inclusive jet cross section at[radical][ital s]= 0.63 TeV and tests of scaling.

Book Description
This volume concentrates on three main areas of current research in high energy physics: (1) multiparticle and diffractive production in perturbative and nonperturbative QCD, (2) confinement-deconfinement mechanism and the RHIC physics, and (3) interface between high-energy collisions and cosmic-ray/astro-physics. The specific topics covered include: QCD at high energies, diffractive production, and small-x physics, multiparticle production and systematics: correlations and fluctuations, hadronic final states in e+e-, lepton-hadron and hadron-hadron collisions, relativistic heavy ion collisions, interface between high-energy collisions and cosmic-ray physics, and recent development in deconfinement.

Book Description
This book collects the Proceedings of the Workshop "Incontri di Fisica delle Alte Energie (IFAE) 2006, Pavia, 19-21 Aprile 2006". The workshop is the fifth edition of a series of workshops on fundamental research in particle physics, as carried on at the most important international laboratories, and possible fallouts in medical and technological applications. Researches in this field aim at identifying the most elementary constituents of matter.

Book Description
Tevatron Run 2 results on the inclusive jet cross section (MidPoint and K{sub T} algorithm) and the b-jet and b{bar b}-jet cross section (MidPoint algorithm) are presented and compared with theory. The CDF b-jet {bar b}-jet {Delta}{phi} distribution is compared with theory and with the D0 jet No. 1-jet No. 2 {Delta}{phi} distribution. The understanding and modeling of the ''underlying event'' in Run 2 at the Tevatron is reviewed and new CDF results are presented.
