Dans la littérature récente, on recense un certain nombre de techniques d’enregistrement, plus ou moins complexes et soumises à des facteurs de variabilité importante. Leur mise en oeuvre nécessite souvent un sens clinique et un empirisme que les étudiants au sein d’un service hospitalo-universitaire n’ont pas encore acquis. Dans ce travail, nous commençons par un rappel sur les différents aspects de la relation centrée, suivi d’une description des techniques d’enregistrement de cette situation condylienne de référence. Enfin, une étude clinique est réalisée au sein d’un service hospitalo-universitaire, afin d’évaluer la capacité des étudiants à enregistrer une relation centrée chez un sujet denté, et d’analyser l’éventuelle incidence de la technique de manipulation.
