It is very extraordinary that the action of the writer of the memoir, the editor, and the publishers, should have been so arbitrary and unjust. If the rest of the memoirs of the "Dictionary of National Biography" are not more accurate and unbiased than in the present instance, there has been a great waste of paper and printing-ink in its production.
