However, the circumstances of the outlaw's death leave him with a nagging suspicion the report could be wrong. When he and his friend Rope travel to Cheyenne to look at a brood mare for the stallion, they discover the man is definitely alive and a powerful figure in that community. Together, they devise a plan to bring the murderer to them, but things don't go as planned and they soon find themselves fighting for their lives.
