John Baptist Buckman (1730-1793), was born in St. Mary's Co., Maryland, the son of John Baptist Buckman and Susanne Smith. He married Ann Drinker. According to family tradition her family came to Maryland from Holland. They were parents of ten children born in St. Mary's County. All but one of the ten children migrated to Kentucky. Descendants live in Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.

Edward Willett was born 19 October 1657 in Hertford, England. His parents were Edward Willett (b. 1625) and Elizabeth Pegg. He was probably in in Maryland as early as 1666 but he returned to London to learn the trade of pewterer in 1674. He married Tabitha Mill in 1697. They had seven children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland, Kentucky and Illinois.

James (Timothy) McClintock of County Antrim, Ireland and his wife, Eleanor Hamilton, sailed from Larne, Ireland to the Colonies in 1772. They landed in the port at Charleston, South Carolina. They were a part of the group of Presbyterians who settled in the District of Chester on the banks of Rocky Creek, a branch of the Catawba River. They were the parents of five children. Their son, (Rev) Robert McClintock (b.ca1746) in County Antrim, Ireland, emigrated with his parents in 1772. He preached at Rocky Springs, in Laurens Co. and at Concord church in Fairfield Co. He married at the age of 50, Martha (1765-1836) the daughter of John McClintock in 1796. Her mother was Margaret Simpson of Ireland and South Carolina. Includes ten generations of descendants.
