Introduction : la prescription de médicaments potentiellement inappropriés (MPI) chez les personnes âgées est très fréquente, ce qui augmente la morbimortalité, et entraine un surcroit d'hospitalisations souvent évitables. Cette étude cherche à déterminer si la suppression de ces MPI lors d'une hospitalisation en Court Séjour Gériatrique (CSG) est durable dans le temps ou s'il y a une réintroduction de ces MPI après leur arrêt. Matériel et méthodes : étude monocentrique observationnelle prospective, incluant 100 patients, âgés de 80 ans ou plus, hospitalisés dans le service de CSG de Périgueux, et auparavant hospitalisés dans le même service au cours de l'année précédente. Les critères STOPP/START ont été utilisés pour définir les MPI. L'objectif principal était de déterminer le taux d'introduction/ réintroduction de médicaments STOPP après la sortie des patients du CSG. Les objectifs secondaires étaient l'identification des facteurs ayant pu favoriser l'introduction/ réintroduction de ces traitements, les classes médicamenteuses préférentiellement introduits/réintroduits, déterminer le nombre de patients réhospitalisés pour iatrogénie potentielle et l'identification des facteurs associés à une réhospitalisation pour iatrogénie potentielle. Résultats : il existe bien une introduction/ réintroduction des médicaments STOPP après leur arrêt au cours d'une hospitalisation en CSG (p = 0.001).
