An Invitation You Cannot Live Without
Author: Rev. Dr. Stanley Griggs
Publisher: Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.
ISBN: 1644920018
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 189
Book Description
When Moses conversed with God at the burning bush, he asked God, "Who shall I say sent me?" God replied, "Tell them 'I am' sent me." In our burning bush prayer time when we talk to God will we take time to listen to what he wants to say? When we pray it is also important to listen to what God wants to say to us. There's a saying, "We have two ears and one mouth. We therefore should listen twice as much as we talk." There is purpose in our being. God has a plan for each of us. Prayer time with God is a time for talking and listening. How can we know what God wants us to do if we never take time to listen to what he has to say? If we are about God's business, we should try to find out the what and the why of his business. There is only one way to the Father, through Jesus Christ, and there is only one way we can discover what he wants and expects us to do. And that is through prayer and Scripture. The Scripture says, "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." There are twenty-four hours in a day. Can we not spare him time in prayer? Jesus knew what his father wanted him to do because he kept in touch with his Father in prayer. God has called on us and left a message for us to call him (see Jeremiah 33:3) He's waiting to hear from us. This is an invitation we can't live without.

Thoughtful Moments and Sayings
Author: Robert F. Edwards
Publisher: Trafford Publishing
ISBN: 1490770577
Category : Literary Collections
Languages : en
Pages : 411
Book Description
This book contains not only some thoughtful moments of the writer Robert F. Edwards, but the dates as well. For over 36 years, the sayings and the dates reflect in some small way as a diary of the writer. Nevertheless, if the reader takes any page and reflects on the date; they can stroll back in their time of what was happening to them or to the world around them. To say that this is a record of 36 years of history would be totally misleading. However, it is somewhat the history of the writer and his thoughts on the date that he wrote them. There is no doubt whatsoever that some of these sayings, as well as the dates that they were written on will have some meaning or a lasting moment for the reader.

Yesterday, Today, and Evermore
Author: Peggy Rae Dorris
Publisher: Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.
ISBN: 1644169231
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 66
Book Description
The writer has attempted to show, in a world of shock and awe, God's hope, love, and assurance for today, tomorrow, and evermore. The way we live our lives while on earth will determine our fate at the end of our lives. Whatever a person's profession, he owes his past, present, and future to the Creator who has given to us so abundantly that we might have life everlasting, which is the goal of this book. A vain attempt has been made to strengthen Christians in their role for Christian service. For when life is over, to spend eternity with the Author and Finisher of life is the hope of all human life. A realization that Jesus hears and answers our prayers and helps us solve our problems gives us the blessed assurance that God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. I am the light of the world, he that followeth me, shall have the light of life (Jh 8:12). I am the good Shepherd; the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep (Jh 10:11). I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved (Jh 10:9). I am the resurrection, and the life; whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die (Jh 11:25). I am the way and the truth and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by me (Jh 14:6). I am the vine, if you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you (Jh 15:7). I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last (Rev. 22:13).

My Poetry Is Me
Author: Karen Ann Gill
Publisher: Strategic Book Publishing
ISBN: 1609119371
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 57
Book Description
My Poetry is Me is more than a book of poems. It's a journey through joy and sorrow, loss and new beginnings. Join author Karen Ann Gill on this voyage as she learns to cope with the loss of her stepmother in Going Home and Damn that Killer. Dream with her about her daughter's wedding day in Remembering Yesterday. And think about what you will leave behind if today is your last day, as you read Who's Gonna Take Over. This book, and the words within, is what Karen will leave behind, so that when that day comes, people will know that she lived. From the earliest age the sounds of words drew her, and when old enough to follow them on paper she fell in love. Over the years I have had the pleasure of watching this love affair. Now you can too. Brook Johnson, the author's father Karen Ann Gill lives in Mansfield, Missouri with her husband and two children. She works in a small local restaurant. My Poetry is Me is just the beginning of her journey...there is much more to come. Publisher's Website: http: //www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/MyPoetryIsMe.htm
