Book Description
Excerpt from Initiation: The Perfecting of Man There is nothing new in these lectures, but only old truths retold. But the truths are of such vivid and perennial interest that, though old, they are never stale, and, though well known, there is always something to say which seems to throw on them new light and new charm. For they touch the deepest re cesses of our being, and bring the breath of heaven into the lower life of earth. Constantly immersed as are most in the affairs of daily life, they are apt to lost sight of the things which belong to their peace, and so any call to lift up their eyes unto the hills is welcomed by the earnest and the aspiring. The eternal verities are always rest ful, as is the view of snowy peaks to those toil ing along the dusty roads of valleys far below. Book Description
Excerpt from Initiation, Human and Solar Again, there are some who are interested, yet who feel the possibilities involved are too far advanced for them, and that they need not occupy themselves with them at this stage of their evolution. This book seeks to make it apparent that here and now the average man may begin to build that character and to lay those foundations of knowledge which are necessary before even the Path of Discipleship can be trodden. Due preparation may now be made, and men and women everywhere may - if they choose fit themselves for the condition of discipleship and tread the Probationary Path. Hundreds in the East and in the West are pressing onwards towards this goal, and in the unity of the one ideal, in their common aspiration and endeavour, they will meet before the one Portal. They will then recognize them selves as brothers, severed by tongue and apparent divers ity of belief, but fundamentally holding to the same one truth and serving the same God. Book Description
Excerpt from The Divine Spark, And, the Great Pyramid, a Temple of Initiation: Two Articles Which Appeared in the Magazine "the Initiates," And for Which a Great Demand Has Developed The demand for these articles in book form has been so great that it has been considered wise to issue the book let, to be used as propaganda work. In fact, so great has been the interest in these particular articles that one student, a Mason of high standing, has ordered copies of the booklet, which he promises to sell to his fellow Masons. This, coming at the present time, is to be viewed as an encouraging sign - a time in which the peoples of the na tions seem utterly to forget their God and to accept nothing except what eye can see and touch feel, a time in which the nations are torn asunder in the most bloody warfare that has ever been known to man. Book Description
Initiation And Its Results: A Sequel To "The Way Of Initiation" Translated From The German By Clifford Bax (First American Edition) This book is a result of an effort made by us towards making a contribution to the preservation and repair of original classic literature. In an attempt to preserve, improve and recreate the original content, we have worked towards: 1. Type-setting & Reformatting: The complete work has been re-designed via professional layout, formatting and type-setting tools to re-create the same edition with rich typography, graphics, high quality images, and table elements, giving our readers the feel of holding a 'fresh and newly' reprinted and/or revised edition, as opposed to other scanned & printed (Optical Character Recognition - OCR) reproductions. 2. Correction of imperfections: As the work was re-created from the scratch, therefore, it was vetted to rectify certain conventional norms with regard to typographical mistakes, hyphenations, punctuations, blurred images, missing content/pages, and/or other related subject matters, upon our consideration. Every attempt was made to rectify the imperfections related to omitted constructs in the original edition via other references. However, a few of such imperfections which could not be rectified due to intentional\unintentional omission of content in the original edition, were inherited and preserved from the original work to maintain the authenticity and construct, relevant to the work. We believe that this work holds historical, cultural and/or intellectual importance in the literary works community, therefore despite the oddities, we accounted the work for print as a part of our continuing effort towards preservation of literary work and our contribution towards the development of the society as a whole, driven by our beliefs. We are grateful to our readers for putting their faith in us and accepting our imperfections with regard to preservation of the historical content. HAPPY READING!
