Book Description
We present a preliminary measurement of the inclusive jet cross-sections based on an integrated luminosity of 378 pb{sup -1} acquired with the D0 detector between 2002 and 2004 at a center of mass energy of {radical}s = 1.96 TeV and a measurement of azimuthal dijet decorrelations based on an integrated luminosity of 150 pb{sup -1}. The cross section measurements are based on an iterative cone algorithm with a cone size of R = 0.7. They are performed in two rapidity bins between 0.0 and 0.8. The measurements are in good agreement with next to leading order calculations. The azimuthal angle between the two leading jets is sensitive to higher order QCD effects. The measurement of dijet azimuthal decorrelations therefore probes these effects without explicitly reconstructing more than two jets. Except for large azimuthal angles where soft effects are important the measurements are well described by the next to leading order perturbation theory.

Book Description
Several tests of Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) in the inclusive dijet final state from the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider are presented. At hadron colliders, jet production has one of the highest cross section and is therefore an ideal place to test the predictions of perturbative Quantum chromodynamics (pQCD). The difference in the azimuthal angle of the two jet system ([Delta][phi]), the [chi]{sub dijet} variable related to the polar angle of the dijet system ([chi]{sub dijet} = exp(y1-y2), where y{sub 1,2} are the rapidities y = 0.5ln(E + p{sub z})/(E - p{sub z}) of the two jets, E is the jet energy and p{sub z} is the jet momentum along the beam line) and dijet invariant mass M{sub jj} are presented. Several interesting dijet variables were measured by the DO collaboration in the Run II of the Tevatron Collider. The measurements are well described by the NLO predictions of QCD and the [chi]{sub dijet} sets the best limits in some models beyond the Standard model.

Book Description
Samples of inclusive [gamma] + 2 jet and [gamma] + 3 jet events collected by the D0 experiment with an integrated luminosity of about 1 fb−1 in p{bar p} collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV are used to measure cross sections as a function of the angle in the plane transverse to the beam direction between the transverse momentum (p{sub T}) of the [gamma] + leading jet system (jets are ordered in p{sub T}) and p{sub T} of the other jet for [gamma] + 2 jet, or p{sub T} sum of the two other jets for [gamma] + 3 jet events. The results are compared to different models of multiple parton interactions (MPI) in the pythia and sherpa Monte Carlo (MC) generators. The data indicate a contribution from events with double parton (DP) interactions and are well described by predictions provided by the pythia MPI models with p{sub T}-ordered showers and by sherpa with the default MPI model. The [gamma] + 2 jet data are also used to determine the fraction of events with DP interactions as a function of the azimuthal angle and as a function of the second jet p{sub T}.

Book Description
A measurement of the decorrelation of azimuthal angles between the two jets with the largest transverse momenta is presented for seven regions of leading jet transverse momentum up to 2.2 TeV. The analysis is based on the proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$. The dijet azimuthal decorrelation is caused by the radiation of additional jets and probes the dynamics of multijet production. The results are compared to fixed-order predictions of perturbative quantum chromodynamics (QCD), and to simulations using Monte Carlo event generators that include parton showers, hadronization, and multiparton interactions. Event generators with only two outgoing high transverse momentum partons fail to describe the measurement, even when supplemented with next-to-leading-order QCD corrections and parton showers. Much better agreement is achieved when at least three outgoing partons are complemented through either next-to-leading-order predictions or parton showers. This observation emphasizes the need to improve predictions for multijet production.

Book Description
These proceedings present the most up-to-date status of deep inelastic scattering (DIS) physics. Topics such as structure function measurements and phenomenology, quantum chromodynamics (QCD) studies in DIS and photoproduction, spin physics and diffractive interactions are reviewed in detail, with emphasis on those studies that push the test of QCD and the Standard Model to the limits of their present range of validity, towards both the very high and the very low four-momentum transfers in leptonproton scattering.

Book Description
We report on preliminary measurements of the central, [eta][le] 0.5, inclusive jet and dijet cross sections at[radical]s= 1.8 TeV. Two data sets with integrated luminosities of 91 pb[sup[minus]1] and 14 pb[sup[minus]1] were collected at the Fermilab Tevatron p[ovr p] Collider with the D0 detector. The inclusive jet cross section measured with both data sets and reported as a function of transverse jet energy (35 GeV[le] E[sub T][le] 470 GeV) and the dijet cross section measured with the 91 pb[sup[minus]1] data set and reported as a function of dijet mass (200 GeV[le] M[sub JJ][le] 1 TeV) are in excellent agreement with next-to-leading order QCD. 11 refs., 5 figs.

Book Description
This book reviews the latest experimental results on jet physics from proton-proton collisons at the LHC. Jets allow to determine the strong coupling constant over a wide range of energies up the highest ones possible so far, and to constrain the gluon parton distribution of the proton, both of which are important uncertainties on theory predictions in general and for the Higgs boson in particular.A novel approach in this book is to categorize the examined quantities according to the types of absolute, ratio, or shape measurements and to explain in detail the advantages and differences. Including numerous illustrations and tables the physics message and impact of each observable is clearly elaborated.
