Conditions for letting the carting of the broken dross from Low Moor Iron Works, for covering the New Turnpike Road, between Bailifi' Bridge and Brow Bridge Mill. The Dross to be set down in heaps under the direction of the Surveyor, beginning at Brow Bridge Mill and proceeding to Bailiff Bridge. 2nd. The takers to lead and set 200 tons per week at the least, and to commence with the work immediately. 3rd. One third part of the money to remain in hand from time to time until the work be completed. 4th. The taker to pursue each track in leading as the Surveyor shall from time to time direct. That James Pollard agrees to take the whole of the Leading and vork above mentioned at 2s. 3d. per ton, on the conditions above written. Witness the hand of the parties, the 24th March, 1824.. Signed, JAMES POLLARD. COVERING THE NEW ROAD WITH RED SCALE, MAY 23rd, 1825.
