Book Description
Out of the ancient, prehistoric worship of mother earth arose an all-embracing, truly holistic vision of life, the Tantra vision. Tantra - which can be translated as 'the essential thread' -winds its way through the most vibrantly alive and creatively rich parts of every religion. Both Hinduism and Jainism met and were enriched by Tantra. It influenced the Christian Gnostics and the Mohammedan Sufis. The flame of Tantric Buddhism is kept alive to this day by the Tibetan Lamas. This branch, which lives today in Tibet, was founded by Saraha. In a way, Saraha had two masters, one being Sri Kirti, who is in direct descent from Buddha.

Others address political issues arising from legal rights of free blacks. Also included are accounts of two fascinating cases relating to problems caused by the end of slavery. One involves the legal status of informal marriages between former slaves, the other involves the validity of slave contracts signed before abolition. " The volumes in this series] belong in every library used for research, and in particular at all law school libraries. They will prove valuable to historians, lawyers, law teachers and students, and all persons interested in the problems of slavery and race in American experience." William M. Wiecek, American Journal of Legal History 33 (1989) 187.

Book Description
To Barth, Bonhoeffer, and the Torrances, grace is not an abstract truth; it is reality itself. By God's revelation in Jesus Christ we are given the blessed assurance to know that all human beings are included in the humanity of the Savior. And in Christ we discover the movements of grace, a double movement at once God-humanward and human-Godward, all by the Holy Spirit. These theologians were keen to remind us that Christ's ongoing mediatorship includes all appropriate human responses to God. In fact, only by grace and in union with Christ do we have true response-ability. It is this "going with the flow" of the Holy Spirit en Christo that makes Christo-realism so dynamic and life-giving.
