Book Description
Being strong in the Lord is essential for successful Christian living. This is the underlying premise of Christian Meat for Christian Muscles. Strength in the Lord means that every area of our lives will benefit from a good dose of spiritual nutrition with Jesus as the main course. How so? Our self esteem can benefit, our character can benefit, our wisdom can benefit; and so to can our faith, our love and our appreciation of Christian values. It will require strength to lay hold of these spiritual treasures, because there is a mighty battle on to stop us. But thankfully spiritual strength is dispensed directly from the Lord. Spiritual nutrition from Jesus Christ is what He meant when He himself said unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:53-54 NIV) Of course Hes talking about His own gospel which has the power to save us, strengthen us and make us worthy of His name, and of Gods mighty Kingdom. This book will examine pivotal verses that facilitate the strengthening process. See sandtorock.com for more info on this important topic

Book Description
In the Lord’s recovery during the past five hundred years the church’s knowledge of the Lord and His truth has been continually progressing. This monumental and classical work by Brother Witness Lee builds upon and is a further development of all that the Lord has revealed to His church in the past centuries. It is filled with the revelation concerning the processed Triune God, the living Christ, the life-giving Spirit, the experience of life, and the definition and practice of the church. In this set Brother Lee has kept three basic principles that should rule and govern every believer in their interpretation, development, and expounding of the truths contained in the Scriptures. The first principle is that of the Triune God dispensing Himself into His chosen and redeemed people; the second principle is that we should interpret, develop, and expound the truths contained in the Bible with Christ for the church; and the third governing principle is Christ, the Spirit, life, and the church. No other study or exposition of the New Testament conveys the life nourishment or ushers the reader into the divine revelation of God’s holy Word according to His New Testament economy as this one does.

Book Description
Years ago, the Lord spoke in my heart about three key aspects of our spiritual journey: Mortification. Abandonment. Purity. Together, they abbreviate M.A.P. Thus, the map to follow in our pursuit of holiness. For if we pursue such practice of always seeking God, yielding and laying it down for His glory, we shall then pursue holiness and we shall abide in His glorious presence. We then shall shun evil, for as we abide in His presence, we seek the moral good path of God’s will and truth. We find the world is slipping deeper into decadence, depravity, wickedness, and immorality because we have forsaken God. As we forsake His ways and spiritual laws, we embrace the darkness, and in the darkness, we succumb to spiritual corruption and we are vulnerable to evil inclinations and wicked intent. We are called to abandon all unto His care. To seek holiness. To seek purity. And to surrender it all to His Glory. Yes, we are called to seek moral goodness by seeking God, for without Him, we only find a perilous path paved with self-destruction.

Book Description
The Global Corruption Report 2001 is the new annual publication of Transparency International, the leading global anti-corruption NGO. By providing an overview of the "state of corruption" around the globe, the Global Corruption Report fills a significant gap in the existing literature. It assembles news and analysis on corruption and the fight against it around the world, highlighting international and regional trends, and significant instances of reform. It also reveals the links between global, regional and national developments in the corruption field, and does so from the independent perspective of an NGO. The book includes reports by leading experts on topical issues such as political party funding, money laundering, and corruption in international sport, exploring in particular the global nature of these themes. It also contains 12 regionally-focused reports, written by journalists from around the world. The report's final data and research section delivers a unique survey of the contemporary corruption and anti-corruption research terrain, with contributions from a range of IGOs, NGOs, the private sector, and academics. It also contains TI's own well-known Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI). The Global Corruption Report is a "must have" publication for policy-makers, business people, lawyers, journalists, academics, and anti-corruption activists the world over.

Book Description
Corruption is a threat to democracy and economic development in many societies. It arises in the ways people pursue, use and exchange wealth and power, and in the strength or weakness of the state, political and social institutions that sustain and restrain those processes. Differences in these factors, Michael Johnston argues, give rise to four major syndromes of corruption: Influence Markets, Elite Cartels, Oligarchs and Clans, and Official Moguls. In this 2005 book, Johnston uses statistical measures to identify societies in each group, and case studies to show that the expected syndromes do arise. Countries studied include the United States, Japan and Germany (Influence Markets); Italy, Korea and Botswana (Elite Cartels); Russia, the Philippines and Mexico (Oligarchs and Clans); and China, Kenya, and Indonesia (Offical Moguls). A concluding chapter explores reform, emphasising the ways familiar measures should be applied - or withheld, lest they do harm - with an emphasis upon the value of 'deep democratisation'.
