There are so many people in this world who are struggling with all sorts of problems and there are so many people who are going through life so heavily. It is my firm belief that the reason for this is that they do not have the right mentor/master. In the Indian cultural traditions, the importance of the Guru can be understood by giving the second Place after ‘mother and father’, Hence, the elders said that… “Matrudevobhava…Pitrudevobhava…Acharyadevobhava..” I do not know if I have the experience and qualifications to talk about a Guru…but Through all the problems I have seen so far in my life journey, the many problems I have encountered, the many experiences I have overcome, my experiences in life, the lessons I have learned from those experiences, the knowledge I know, a strong desire has arisen in my mind. Then I decided to write a book on the subject of the greatness of the Guru, the need for a Guru, and why the real Guru should be in our lives, with the firm feeling that the greatness of the Guru needs to be known to all the experience which I know in the life I have come across.

Book Description
From the author of what has become the standard edition of The Yoga Sutras of Patañjali, an exploration of probably the most significant tradition in Hinduism, along with a rendering of key texts and parables from that tradition Bhakti Yoga explores one of the eight “limbs” of yoga. In the simplest terms, bhakti yoga is the practice of devotion, which is the essential heart of yoga and of Hinduism in general. In recent times, the term has come to be used in a rather simplistic way to refer to the increasingly popular practice of kirtan, or chanting in a group or at large gatherings. But bhakti yoga is far more complex and ancient than today’s growing kirtan audiences are aware, and embraces many strands and practices. Edwin F. Bryant focuses on one famous and important school of bhakti and explores it in depth to show what bhakti is and how it is expressed. And he supplies his own renderings of central texts from that tradition in the form of “tales and teachings” from an important work called the Bhagavata Purana, or “The Beautiful Legend of God.” This clarifying work establishes a baseline for understanding, and will be welcomed by all serious students of the spiritual heritage of India.

Book Description
This book is about the forgotten art and science of healing: retrieved and reaped in easy steps. Equally, it is an attempt at interpreting the ancient Upanishadic wisdom through the author’s insight: showing the essential oneness of spirituality with the mind-body matrix. Layers of wisdom unravel as the author unfolds the science of Yoga: dispelling myths while reinforcing the Truth. Touching upon subjects of contemporary interest - Cosmic Energy, Reiki, Karma, Kundalini, Yoga, Health etc. - the book has a universal appeal. Of particular interest to the scientifically-inclined is the author’s juxtaposing of scriptural wisdom of the East with the West’s path-breaking findings in Quantum Physics, Probabilistic nature of the Universe, Psychoneuroimmunology and Parapsychology. That the author throws light on these esoteric matters through the prism of his spiritual experiences, lends the whole narrative a kind of authenticity not common in books of this genre. The highlight of the book is its ability to touch the yoga-inclined masses in their daily life and facilitate their ‘three-dimensional’ healing through easy-to-make forays in diet control, asana-pranayama, alternative therapy, meditation and karmic remedies.

This AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI will astonish... "This is a riveting read of the spiritual journey of one of the most deeply disciplined seekers I have ever met. You'll find it provocative, entertaining, and spiritually sobering. It's hard to put down. Read it, digest it and be challenged. There's more to this story than meets the eye!" Philip Johnson, co-author, Riding the Rollercoaster and Sacred Quest "Today, many have embarked on a spiritual journey, but few have done it with the enthusiasm dedication and intensity of Michael Graham. While still a teenager, a twenty-eight-year odyssey began, leading him to India where he had dramatic encounters with some the 20th Century's most famous Eastern religious teachers. In this personal account he tells of these meetings and spiritual 'awakenings' and then his subsequent efforts to reconcile his amazing experiences with his questioning intellect. At the same time, he presents an eloquent insider's account of the Western world's fascination with Eastern Mysticism. This enthralling story will stimulate and challenge all spiritual seekers." Martin Roth, author Zen Guide and Living Water to Light the Journey "If you enjoyed Death of a Guru, you will devour this and it will be compulsory reading for all who take seriously the impact Eastern spirituality is having on the Western world."
