Book Description
This book chronicles the miraculous birth of Judah Emmanuel Patterson who survived an ectopic pregnancy, and the rough, yet rewarding journey leading up to that epic moment. The PattersonsaEUR(tm) story was one hot room where science and faith in God argued each other. Science, as usual, came to the room with empirical facts to prove why it was impossible for Mrs. Patterson to get pregnant. However, faith had the better side of Mrs. Patterson. God wants to renew the minds of millions and has instructed this book to be written so many could hear of yet another miracle.

Book Description
It was God’s love for His creation that allowed Moses, Elijah, James, Peter, and John to unfold God’s plan for all mankind. These saints were sanctified and chosen to be witnesses to the transfiguration and deity of God’s only Son Jesus Christ. These witnesses were recognized and honored by God for their obedience and faithfulness. All of mankind has been richly blessed by these men of God, as they became servants of God in accomplishing many great miracles. These specific saints were allowed to see Jesus in all His glory as He was transformed from His earthly body to the holy splendor of His heavenly body. This experience was terrifying for the apostles and was seared into their very being. From that day forward God would use the apostles James, Peter, and John in unfolding God’s love and plan for all of mankind. First Kings 19:12 reads, “And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” God spoke to Elijah and to the souls of men in a still small voice of love, grace, and mercy.

Book Description
We hear a lot about the importance of praying, even when we feel no one is listening, but how often do we actually stop to remember the times prayers have been answered? In Remember, Richard Gamble, the man behind the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer, encourages us to do just that: to recall and reflect on the things God has done for us - in the Bible, throughout history and in our lives and the lives of others. With uplifting warmth, he explores the Scriptural importance of remembering answered prayers, showing how such reflection gives us a deeper understanding of who God is and helps us to greater maturity in prayer. Bursting with remarkable stories, Remember is a hopeful, encouraging invitation to a tradition that runs throughout the Bible. It will give you a fresh appreciation of the power and importance of prayer, and how it lies at the heart of our relationship with God.

Book Description
Philosophers who wish to argue for the rationality of belief in God frequently employ a 'god-of-the-gaps' strategy. This strategy consists in trying to find a phenomenon that cannot be explained by natural science, and insisting that it can be explained only by reference to the activity of God. Philosophical discussion of miracles usually revolves around the attempt to link a miracle to God in just this way. One of the problems with this approach is that it is very difficult to identify anything as being forever beyond the power of science to explain. Science continues to advance upon the territory occupied by the god of the gaps. Thus it is desirable to develop an account of divine agency that will not be subject to revision in the face of scientific progress. This book is just such an account. Drawing on recent work in the theory of action, it shows that we can attribute God's agency to an event in nature without eliminating the possibility that it might be explained scientifically. In bringing God's actions out of the gaps, we avoid the possibility that future discoveries in science will make our talk of divine agency obsolete.

Book Description
The Greek Historia Monachorum in Aegypto was one of the most widely read and disseminated Greek hagiographic texts during Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. To this day it remains, alongside Athanasius' Life of Antony, one of the core primary sources for fourth-century Egyptian monasticism as well as one of the most fascinating, yet perplexing, pieces of monastic hagiography to survive from the entire patristic period. However, until now it has not received the intensive and sustained scholarly analysis that a monograph affords. In this study, Andrew Cain incorporates insights from source criticism, stylistic and rhetorical analysis, literary criticism, and historical, geographical, and theological studies in an attempt to break new ground and revise current scholarly orthodoxy about a broad range of interpretive issues and problems.

Book Description
Scholarly literature on Jesus has often attempted to relate his miracles to their Jewish context, but that context has not been surveyed in its own right. This volume fills that gap by examining both the ideas on miracle in Second Temple literature (including Josephus, Philo, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha) and the evidence for contemporary Jewish miracle workers. The penultimate chapter explores insights from cultural anthropology to round out the picture obtained from the literary evidence, and the study concludes that Jesus is distinctive as a miracle-worker in his Jewish context while nevertheless fitting into it.
