INTRODUCTION : Internet est une source d'informations omniprésente pour les recherches d'informations médicales des patients. Le site internet du médecin généraliste pourrait potentialiser les bénéfices de ces recherches en limitant leurs risques. Mais ce site internet présente-t-il un réel intérêt aux yeux des patients ? MATÉRIEL ET MÉTHODE : Une étude descriptive a été menée par entretiens dirigés auprès de 100 patients consultant en médecine générale dans 5 cabinets médicaux d'Indre-et-Loire, du 07/08 au 20/11/2018. RÉSULTATS : 83% des patients seraient intéressés par le site internet de leur médecin généraliste s'il existait. Cet intérêt était évalué à 7/10 par EVA. 83% accorderaient plus de confiance aux informations de ce site qu'aux autres informations médicales sur internet. Ils aimeraient y trouver des informations sur les maladies, les traitements, la conduite à tenir devant un symptôme, et aimeraient pouvoir y discuter par mail avec leur médecin, y prendre rendez-vous en ligne et y consulter leur dossier médical. 79% plébiscitaient la forme de site internet classique et 67% souhaitaient des liens redirigeant vers des sites fiables. Ce site ne suffirait pas à réduire l'anxiété des patients liée à la recherche d'informations médicales sur internet. CONCLUSION : Les médecins pourraient proposer leurs propres sites d'informations médicales. Ceci permettrait à leurs patients d'avoir accès facilement à des informations fiables et d'être réellement acteurs de leur santé. Un tel site ne dispenserait pas de la nécessité de discuter de ces recherches en consultation. Il faudrait désormais questionner les médecins sur leurs motivations à investir leur temps dans ce projet.
