Actualmente, la población y el consumo energético están creciendo de manera exponencial a escala global, provocando un impacto en el medioambiente sin precedentes. Con el fin de conseguir un mundo más sostenible, urge cambiar el modelo de desarrollo humano. En consecuencia, se hace imprescindible la introducción de fuentes de energías renovables, particularmente en el sistema de generación eléctrica. Para ello, su integración en las redes eléctricas de transporte (AT) y distribución (MT) se vuelve crucial para continuar con su futuro desarrollo. Este trabajo realiza un estudio en régimen permanente del impacto de una energía renovable madura, la solar fotovoltaica (FV), en la red de distribución eléctrica en el marco de una subestación AT/MT. Para ello, se han descrito y modelado los elementos principales que forman el sistema, se ha calculado la producción energética de las plantas FV y a continuación se ha simulado con el software PSS®SINCAL el conjunto, obteniendo así una idea bien fundamentada del impacto de la generación distribuida (GD) en la red de media tensión. Finalmente se han observado en las diferentes líneas analizadas diversidad de valores en relación a los incrementos de tensión o saturaciones de los conductores para plantas FV similares conectadas, incidiendo decisivamente aspectos como la tipología de la red, consumo nativo de la línea o secciones de conductores, por poner algunos ejemplos, en el resultado final.

The authors are of the strong opinion that this is NOT the way one should approach such an important subject as the integration of new, more environmentally friendly, sources of energy in the power grid. With this book the authors aim to bring some clarity to the debate allowing all stakeholders together to move to a solution. This book will introduce systematic and transparent methods for quantifying the impact of DG on the power grid.
