Mr. Meckler arranged in May, 1999 to take a guided tour of the Pyramids and Great Sphinx at Giza, the ancient capital cities of Memphis, Thebes; Luxor Temple and its famous inscribed columns; Karnak Temple ruins, monuments and statutes; Egypt's Winter Palace; the Valley of the Kings including the tombs of Pharoah Ramsses IV, Amenhetop IV, his son Tutankhamen and others; the; Aswan Dam including an overnight stay at nearby, famous Old Cataract Hotel, followed by visit to Queen Hatshepsut Palace, a boat trip on the Nile extending to early Nubian sites including Abu Simbal.
