The aim of this book is to show how wine tourism can be used as a model for sustainable economic development, driving economic growth and social development in some locations. It will explore the interaction between tourism and viticulture in wine tourism destinations, while also explaining some of the repercussions of these activities. El 16 de juliol de 1769, Serra va iniciar la seva primera missió a San Diego, abans de dur-ne a terme nou més tot resseguint la costa californiana fins a San Francisco. Gaspar de Portolà va néixer a Os de Balaguer (Lleida) l'any 1716, era soldat i va ser governador de Califòrnia.
