Alberto Diaz Gutierrez cuyo nombre artistico es Alberto Korda nace en La Habana el 14 de septiembre de 1928 realiza estudios commerciales. Inicia su carrera como fotógrafo en 1956, fundado junto a Luis A. Pierce, "Estudios Korda" trabajando como fotografo de moda para diferentes firmas.
