Book Description
A lattice calculation of the pseudoscalar decay constant for heavy-light mesons is reported. Emphasis is placed on preliminary results obtained using wall-source propagators at [beta] = 6.3. The previously-observed discrepancy between the static and conventional approaches appears to be much reduced.

Book Description
Calculations of the pseudoscalar decay constant for mesons containing one heavy quark (i.e., f{sub D}, f{sub B}) are reported. Results at [beta] = 6.0 using the static-quark approximation for the heavy-quark propagator are compared to results using a propagating heavy quark with Wilson fermions at ([beta] = 6.0, [beta] = 6.1 and [beta] = 6.3). Further investigation into the dynamics governing these systems is made by measuring the Bethe-Salpeter wave function for each case. 15 refs., 5 figs., 1 tab.

Book Description
A lattice calculation of the decay constants for D and B mesons is described. Results are obtained (in the quenched approximation) from wall-source lattices in Coulomb gauge at [beta] = 6.3, through a procedure that interpolates smoothly between the static approximation of Eichten and the conventional (heavy'' Wilson fermion) method. The previously observed discrepancy between these two approaches has been understood, and we discuss the resolution and its limitations. We find f[sub D] = 206(9) [plus minus] 37 MeV, f[sub D [sub s]] = 231(7) [plus minus] 39 MeV, f[sub B] = 179(10) [plus minus] 39 MeV, and f[sub B [sub s]] = 203(8) [plus minus] 42 MeV. The first error in each result is statistical, resulting from the jackknife procedure applied to the full analysis. The second is our estimate of systematic errors due to scale-breaking, axial current renormalization, and fitting or extrapolation uncertainties.

Book Description
We investigate decay constants of P- and D-wave heavy-light mesons within the mock-meson approach. Numerical estimates are obtained using the relativistic quark model. We also comment on recent calculations of heavy-light pseudo-scalar and vector decay constants.
