En quoi les territoires classiques de l’éthique de la recherche peuvent ou doivent évoluer ? Dans la dynamique des États généraux de la bioéthique (janvier-mai 2018), nous constatons que le champ de questionnement de la bioéthique s’est considérablement élargi, embrassant des thématiques scientifiques et techniques toujours plus complexes et transversales. L’éthique de la recherche se retrouve ainsi au cœur des discussions là où il s’agit d’interroger les valeurs, finalités et conséquences d’innovations scientifiques et techniques considérablement impliquées dans la société. Ainsi, doit-on redéfinir le contrat qui lie science et société ? Des sujets émergents comme l’intelligence artificielle, l’édition du génome ou encore les neurosciences viennent bousculer les fondements d’une éthique de la recherche : ils nous obligeant à en interroger les méthodes et les territoires.
