L’enquête réalisée auprès des enseignants de la ville de Taza et de ses régions porte sur les conceptions et les pratiques de l’arrêt-bilan (moment d’évaluation et de soutien) chez les enseignants bilingues chargés d’enseigner le français dans les écoles primaires publiques marocaines et sur leur formation pédagogique. Cette étude s’attache à déterminer les facteurs empêchant l’application d’une évaluation productive de l’acte d’enseignement/apprentissage du français au sein du primaire. Les résultats enregistrés ont révélé une carence de leur formation pédagogique : une formation initiale lacunaire, une formation continue irrégulière et une auto formation quasi absente pour des critères arbitraires. Le présent travail permet aux enseignants de s’informer sur les principaux fondements théoriques de l’arrêt-bilan, à savoir l’évaluation formative, la pédagogie différenciée et la pédagogie de soutien pour enrichir leurs connaissances et parvenir par conséquent à surmonter les difficultés rencontrées pour l’élaboration et la pratique l’arrêt-bilan. À partir de notre expérience personnelle et des écrits officiels (intentions pédagogiques, nouvelle charte nationale marocaine), nous présentons des suggestions concernant l’arrêt-bilan et la formation pédagogique des enseignants Marocains. Certes, en l’absence d’une formation continue féconde, l’enseignant est invité, malgré les obstacles rencontrés, à franchir le pas vers une auto formation appropriée pour actualiser son savoir et mieux suivre le progrès scientifique.

Over the 20th century, Morocco has become one of the world’s major emigration countries. But since 2000, growing immigration and settlement of migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and Europe confronts Morocco with an entirely new set of social, cultural, political and legal issues. The linguistic integration of migrants affects every aspect of settling in a new country (employment, health, etc.). The aim of this collection of texts is to propose a number of specific measures member states can take to help adult migrants become acquainted with the language of the host country. The main focus is on organising language courses that meet migrants’ real communication needs. It is not enough for authorities simply to consider the technical aspects of such courses, they should also design and conduct them in accordance with the fundamental values of the Council of Europe. A number of issues concerning the linguistic integration of adult migrants are presented here, beginning with the notion of linguistic integration itself.
