The first letter, dated January 15, 1860, is on "Office of the American Railroad Bureau" letterhead, and discusses the Lyons Railroad. The second letter, dated March 30, 1860, is also on "Office of the American Railroad Bureau" letterhead, and mentions Stuart's desire to discuss with Baker an extension of the railroad west of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
