Common beginner questions are answered first, and a version of each application is provided in a step-by-step approach designed for use by pairs of workshop participants. Screen shots are also provided with examples taken from the home or school setting. Reprinted articles from "The Computing Teacher" journal which describe how teachers have used spreadsheets, database, and word processor applications for instructional or personal use, and an index for each application are provided.
