The time has arrived for planters in Porto Rico to pay more atten tion to the appearance of their fruit if they desire to realize top market prices. In order to grow clean fruit more spraying at the proper time is necessary. The experiment stations Of the United States have shown that beneficial results may be Obtained by spray ing. Orchards that produced practically nothing but worthless fruit have been sprayed, with the result that 90 to 95 per cent of their fruit 18 perfect.
