The mills had reduced their activity because of decreased flour demand. Wheat stocks were below normal for the season. Wheat prices at the mill on April 1, duty and landing charges ih cluded, were quoted as follows: Western White No. 2, per bushel; Canadian No. 1, No. 3, Manchurian per bushel. Domestic standard was per bushel and Portland wheat, c.i.f. Yokohama, per bushel, duty and landing charges excluded. The whole sale price of flour at the mill on April 1 was per bag of 49 pounds.
