A Symbolic Notation Applied to Unbalanced Ladder Networks
Author: Kurt H. Haase
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Electric circuits
Languages : en
Pages : 0
Book Description
A symbolic notation is used to describe the drivingpoint immittances measured at either port of an unbalanced two-port ladder network containing two kinds of elements (LC, RC, or RL). It is shown that using this notation, distinctive letter symbols with indices together with operator symbols, and by applying some logical rules, the relationship between input and output immittances, between dual and between identical ladders becomes very simple. The symbolic notation is more descriptive and pictorial in the light of circuit theory than the correlated mathematical formulations. The article is a first attempt to apply logical considerations to circuit problems and wants to give some stimulation for further studies in this direction. (Author).

On the Relative Efficiencies of Context-free Grammar Recognizers
Author: T. V. Griffiths
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Algorithms
Languages : en
Pages : 22
Book Description
A number of diverse recognition procedures that have been proposed for parsing sentences with respect to a context-free grammar are described in this paper by means of a common device. Each procedure is defined by giving an algorithm for obtaining a nondeterministic Turing Machine recognizer that is equivalent to a given context-free grammar. The formalization of the Turing Machine has been chosen to make possible particularly simple descriptions of the parsing procedures considered.

Machine-aided Design of Context-free Grammars
Author: Thomas G. Evans
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Computer-aided design
Languages : en
Pages : 30
Book Description
The following paper represents work to date on the deformation method for quadratic programming and thus may be regarded as a sequel to Zahl, S. (1964) A Deformation Method for Quadratic Programming, Research Note AFCRL-63-132. It gives an explanation of a modified Iverson programming language and uses this to give a detailed algorithm for the Zahl Deformation Method of Quadratic Programming.
