Thomas Durbin was born in England in 1626. He came to America with Lord Baltimore in 1638 and settled in Maryland. William Logsdon came to America in 1674 with Captain Smith and settled in Virginia. Their descendants, John Durbin (ca. 1734-1831) and Ann Logsdon, married in 1760. They had at least six children. They lived in Kentucky and later moved to Christian County, Illinois where John died in 1831. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri and elsewhere.
