The research attempted to identify what competencies, skills, and traits employers consider to be most important for an applicant to have in order to be a successful, productive employee. It also sought to determine what level of education employers considered necessary for gaining entry-level employment. Results were compared using mean and rank order to determine the overall perceptions employers have of perspective new employees.
