The Binding is Also of the Most Costly Discription [sic] of Russia Leather, Calf Or Morocco. Many of the More Expensive Works are Bound by Carss of Glasgow. The Standard Works on History, Poetry and Science, are Generally in Costly Octavos, with Large Clear Types and a Profusion of the Finest Illustrations. Interesting and Curious Books. To the Antiquarian Or Those Gentlemen Wishing to Form Private Collections, this Library Will be Found Most Interesting. It Contains Many Old and Scarce Works Relating to the Early History of this Continent, and the Discovery and Settlement of Canada, and is Particularly Rich in Works Relating to Scottish History and Literature. It Comprises Also Some of the Oldest Printed Books in Existence, Including a Most Beautiful Copy of Jesephus, Printed as Early as 1486, While Caxton was Yet Working at His Types.
