Book Description
Worship in church can be very challenging, especially with young people. This book contains a range of services ideas designed especially for, but not only, young people. Many of those who lead worship in churches, schools, youth centres, etc, need to become very focussed on young people around Christmas time, but even when they think creatively, they have neither time nor the resources to implement their ideas. This book offers a wide 'off the peg' range of services/addresses for Advent and Christmas, through which we believe it possible to create a sense of wonder, awe and excitement. We hope that as worship leaders explore what follows, they will feel stimulated to dip into the contents offered and then create their own events and special services. As readers explore man's relationship with God, they will be led along paths that are as varied as the individual characteristics of those people. Each and every path leads to moments of personal discovery, and with these come satisfaction, great humour and joy. This book shares some of these awesome discoveries. The ideas that follow are an attempt to demonstrate how different congregations have explored the God/Man relationship and we hope the reader will be hugely stimulated and want to become creative in their own way; this is the main purpose for this book. The book is divided into 3 parts: Section 1 is an event which can fill the "Sermon Slot" in a family service or a school assembly whether it is a Eucharist or another form of worship. Section 2 is made up of a number of complete services, each of which stands in its own right. Section 3 contains some ideas for embellishing both Sections 1 & 2. These can also be used as standalone pieces or interwoven with other themes created by the reader.

Book Description
In the summer of 1998, I began to preach at East Pearl Street Methodist Church. I came to East Pearl fresh off the plane from a year as a missionary doctor to India and Honduras. I had delivered babies, sutured machete wounds, and even contracted malaria during a cholera epidemic. With my head full of stories and my heart on fire, I returned to Yale for residency. When I heard East Pearl needed a Minister, I leapt at the chance. We are an urban church in a struggling neighborhood. The city's great challenges are our shared ministry: poverty, housing, illness, imprisonment, HIV, psychiatric problems. Despite a gouty boiler, and a wheezy organ (masterfully coddled by our long-time organist Willis Copeland), we thrive with a tireless hope. As an urban pastor and a young doctor, this sermon collection is my attempt to stoke the fires of hope in a world wired with technology and anxiety. For those wrestling with their faith, doubting their role in the world, or just curious about Christianity, I believe these meditations offer hope and perspective for our modern times.

Book Description
What is in Watch and Pray: Volume 2? It critically lays out end-time baits and schemes of the enemy and his team to steal, kill, and send millions to hell. These include tattoos, carnal Christmas (Paradox of Christmas), false anointing, deception, false messengers, fake grace, apostasy, and worldly desires (1 John 2:16). Today, deception is so deep that it becomes difficult to trust those closer to you and to discern the right from almost right. Satan and his demons have transformed themselves into wolves among the sheep in the church everywhere, devouring them. He comes to us in camouflage to steal, kill, and destroy. Do not become his victims. We have to walk circumspectly and not as fools in Satan’s world (Ephesians 5:15–16). Many, including believers, remain carnal and blinded to the devil’s trick and are paying with their bodies and lives. The rest of this book discusses spiritual weapons and strategies at the believers’ disposal. They include spiritual connectedness with the Lord, fasted lifestyles, praise and worship, prayer, and God’s love. The kingdom of darkness is getting bolder as we approach end-times, so Christians must get bolder by drawing near to God in order to resist the enemy. The flight to heaven does not come cheap but requires vigilance and sobriety in prayers and watchfulness. Responsible evangelism does not end at leading the lost to Christ but goes further to warn those saved to take heed against false doctrines and teachings. Many false teachers and preachers are increasingly using prosperity and health messages along to trick and trap millions to hell. It is my hope that everyone who reads this book will be saved and come to know the Lord well. Anyone who reads this book will find his/her own life stories in it. May God use this book to draw all of us to himself and teach us how to discern the right from error. Pray to him and pray for all lives.

Book Description
A Star-Filled Grace offers resources on beloved Advent and Christmas themes for churches, ministers, study groups and individuals at a time when there is a genuine interest in fresh ways of telling the Christmas stories. In poetry, liturgy and narrative, Rachel Mann questions the cosy and sentimental view of the festive season and takes seriously the idea that God in Christ is born as a vulnerable outsider who transforms the world in radical ways. Intended to be usable in a wide range of liturgical and study contexts, this book revisits biblical voices, characters and stories with a sophistication and simplicity that speaks to readers from a diversity of theological and spiritual perspectives. Rachel Mann is an Anglican parish priest, broadcaster and writer. She is resident poet and minor canon at Manchester Cathedral. Her work is widely published, including two previous books, The Risen Dust and Dazzling Darkness.
