Book Description
Excerpt from A Bibliography of the Spanish Press of California, 1833-1845 The compilation of this bibliography was begun many years ago, during the existence of the various: institutions referred to in these notes, and while their material was yet available for research. The unfortunate destruction in 1906, by fire of many libraries, public and private, has rendered excessively rare the few specimens of these early printed documents that are yet in existence. Libraries which may be mentioned in this connection are the Bohemian Club, Lees, Mercantile library, Society of California Pioneers, and the Archives. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work. Forgotten Books uses state-of-the-art technology to digitally reconstruct the work, preserving the original format whilst repairing imperfections present in the aged copy. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in our edition. We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works.
