Book Description
In this daring and speculative work, Evdokimov challenges contemporary Christianity to face up to its androcentrism. The dominance of the male in both society and the Church, he asserts, is at the root of many of the evils that plague the modern world. Evdokimov sees the solution in a rediscovery of an authentic Christian anthropology, one that sees males and females as complementary, yet with distinct charisms and vocations.

Book Description
What does the Bible say about the value of women? Does the Bible teach that women are as valuable as men or does it portray them as somehow more flawed, more suspect, or weak and easily deceived? Beginning from Genesis and working all the way through the storyline of the Bible, Worthy demonstrates the significant and yes, even surprising, ways that God has used women to accomplish His kingdom goals. Because, like men, they are created in His image, their lives reflect and declare His worth. Worthy will enable and encourage both men and women to embrace this true and lofty vision of God's creation, plan, and their value in His eyes. Bestselling author Elyse Fitzpatrick and pastor Eric Schumacher together invite women to embrace a transformative and empowering view of their Maker, themselves, and the church. But this isn't only a book for women. It is also a book for men, especially leaders, who want to grow in their understanding of God's perspective on women, people who normally make up the majority of their congregations; men who might be wondering if they've missed something amid the abuse scandals that are rocking the church. Might the headlines they're reading today about abuse have their roots in a denigration of the value and worth of women? Worthy: Celebrating the Value of Women will help every reader see the value, place, and calling of women through study questions and a "Digging Deeper" section that will help men and women discover how to cherish, value, and honor one another for God's glory.

Book Description
About the bookSalvation, what is salvation? It is the rescue from sin and death to life. How do we know we need salvation? We need it, because we were all born into a sinful world and are living in a world headed for death. For the Salvation of My Sisters is about understanding this truth through the eyes of young women in the world today. It is to help them understand that they are not alone, that the women of the bible went through the same things we experience now in our earthly lives. It is to help them learn that God is in control of all things and that in Him there is life, love, protection, joy, and hope for a brighter future. It is to help them understand that they are special to God and that He wants His best for them. Young women in the world have so much to contend with that they sometimes get caught up in things that God never meant for them to experience, like molestation, abuse, drugs, drinking, immoral sex acts, and prostitution. They are made to feel less than equal with their male counter parts, yet God made them in the same image as Him, just like He made man. Through this book, young women will find out that they are on equal ground with all of God's creation, that there is life in Christ for them to live in abundance, and that God loves them very much and wants his best to be done in their lives. They will come to understand God and his plan of salvation for their lives so that they can be heaven bound. They will learn of the women in the bible who faced many of the same obstacles and situations they face and how they were rescued from them through trusting and obeying God. They will learn how to trust God in making the best decisions concerning their life, love, jobs, and children. Whatever their need is, God has a plan for them. Many of us are walking around saying, “God is good all the time and all the time God is good,” yet for as many saying it, most don't believe it. What we have to understand is that, yes, God is good even when we are going through something. We think God has no clue that we are suffering, hurting, crying, sick, broken hearted, physically and mentally drained, beaten down and fed-up. We think God does not love us, doesn't care about us, and has forgotten about us, because our life is not going according to our plan. The thing is God's plan is different from ours. We may have to give what we think we don't have, we may have to help who we don't want to help. We may have to pray when we fill like God is not listening, we may have to love those we want to hate. God's plan requires that we stretch further than we ever have before. God's plan calls for us to give up all of ourselves to know Him. It pushes us to the outside of the box when we want to hold on to the rim of the box. It tells us to trust Him when we don't feel Him or hear Him. His plan tells us to turn from who we use to be into who He has called us to be, true children of the living God. This book is a labor of love for my own young daughters who are now grown and living life for God. Since I came to know the love of God I have prayed for them to come to know Him in a great and mighty way. God is working in their life and I am so pride of how they are changing into the godly women that He can use to make a difference in the kingdom of God. I pray that whoever receives this book will grow and understand that God loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that you may have life to the fullest. I pray that you will listen to what you hear God speak to you through these words and let Him change you into the beloved of God, for you desire His best and He desires all of you, spirit, mind, soul, body, and heart, in Jesus name, Amen.Psalm 91:15-14 The Lord says, I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call Me, I will answer. I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation.

Book Description
New York Times Bestseller. With just the right mixture of humor and insight, compassion and incredulity, A Year of Biblical Womanhood is an exercise in scriptural exploration and spiritual contemplation. What does God truly expect of women, and is there really a prescription for biblical womanhood? Come along with Evans as she looks for answers in the rich heritage of biblical heroines, models of grace, and all-around women of valor. What is "biblical womanhood" . . . really? Strong-willed and independent, Rachel Held Evans couldn't sew a button on a blouse before she embarked on a radical life experiment--a year of biblical womanhood. Intrigued by the traditionalist resurgence that led many of her friends to abandon their careers to assume traditional gender roles in the home, Evans decides to try it for herself, vowing to take all of the Bible's instructions for women as literally as possible for a year. Pursuing a different virtue each month, Evans learns the hard way that her quest for biblical womanhood requires more than a "gentle and quiet spirit" (1 Peter 3:4). It means growing out her hair, making her own clothes, covering her head, obeying her husband, rising before dawn, abstaining from gossip, remaining silent in church, and even camping out in the front yard during her period. See what happens when a thoroughly modern woman starts referring to her husband as "master" and "praises him at the city gate" with a homemade sign. Learn the insights she receives from an ongoing correspondence with an Orthodox Jewish woman, and find out what she discovers from her exchanges with a polygamist wife. Join her as she wrestles with difficult passages of scripture that portray misogyny and violence against women.

Book Description
Does Paul teach a hierarchy of authority of man over woman, or does he teach the full equality of man and woman in the church and home? In Man and Woman, One in Christ, Philip Barton Payne answers this question and more, injecting crucial insights into the discussion of Paul’s view of women. Condensing over three decades of research on this topic, Payne’s rigorous exegetical analysis demonstrates the consistency of Paul’s message on this topic and its coherence with the rest of his theology. Payne’s exegetical examination of the Pauline corpus is thorough, exploring the influences on Paul, his practice as a church leader, and his teachings to various Christian communities. Paul’s theology, instruction, and practice consistently affirm the equal standing of men and women, with profound implications for the church today. Man and Woman, One in Christ is required reading for all who desire to understand the meaning of Paul’s statements regarding women and their relevance for Christian relationships and ministry today. This work has the potential of uniting the church on this contentious issue.
