Book Description
Dozens of writers wrote about the life, the death, and the career of Louis Riel, but they have mainly written about his political activities and his rebellions. I will talk to you mainly about his relationship with God and that he had the same preoccupations as Jesus had in this world, meaning to free his people from the slavery of sin and the slavery of religion and to lead his people to God. Louis Riel understood just like Jesus did that religions, mainly the one that has its head in Rome, are a dreadful slavery, and we definitely have to separate from them. This is the reason the John A. Macdonalds government pressed by the Christian churches found a way to eliminate him from this earth despite the protestations against this from all over. So Louis Riel had to go through the same destiny as the one who inspired him, Jesus of Nazareth, and this is why I expect the same conclusion for myself, because I do the same thing they did, meaning opening the eyes of the blind. Fortunately for the world and thanks to God, a bit of salt and a gleam of light made their way to me. So in one way Ill be able to continue the work of Jesuss disciples, and this is what Im doing with the help of my books.

Book Description
For my part, I must admit it is with time and the age that wisdom allowed me to be slow to anger to accomplish Gods justice and to be worthy of the Messiah, worthy of the Word of God. The Word of God, the truth that is in my opinion the greatest power in this world is with me, and I love it with all of my heart. It is the Word of God that gives me the taste to write about it, the taste to make it known, and the taste to share it with the greatest possible number of people in this world. I strongly believe that without it, I wouldnt have too much to say or to write about. There were days and even this year when I asked myself what could have changed me to this point, and the only answer I got was that it was the Word of God that did it. But this is absolutely wonderful. To live in the kingdom of heaven, in the kingdom of Jesus, is the most wonderful thing that could happen to a human being, and this is what gives me the taste to invite people from all nations to come to join me in it. I hope with my whole heart this is what my books and my hymns to my Lord will do. This is exactly why the Messiah, Jesus, gave his life for: so we could all be this happy. May he be blessed above all men who lived on this earth! James Prince

Love, Perversion or Just Nature?

Pages : 221
Book Description
It is not always easy to know who is telling the truth, you would tell me. I can tell you that almost everything that is said or written can be verified. One thing is sure and this is that everything I wrote about the word of God, everything I wrote about what is from the Bible can be verified. So I beg everyone and anyone to get back to me if I said and wrote anything that is not conformed to the scriptures. I know perfectly that mistaking is human, but I also know that the lie is diabolic and John, Jesus' brother said no lie comes from the truth. See 1 John 2, 21. 'I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth.' If you are happy for discovering the truth because of what you read in this book; then tell everyone you can and if it is possible do it without risking your life, because I wish you can do it for a long time. This book contains enough information about the truth, the word of God for anyone who wants to be a Jesus' disciple to begin his or her mission. Don't you ever forget the many Jesus' warnings and mine though, and remember that you will be flogged in the churches and this most likely unnecessarily. May God bless you! James Prince with the Jesus' discipline. A Jesus' disciple has only one religion and this is the one he got from Jesus. This means to go directly to God and the Father in heaven will receive you. See Matthew 6, 18. James Prince

New World Myth
Author: Marie Vautier
Publisher: McGill-Queen's Press - MQUP
ISBN: 0773516697
Category : America
Languages : en
Pages : 365
Book Description
In this comparative study of six Canadian novels Marie Vautier examines reworkings of myth in the postcolonial context. While myths are frequently used in literature as transhistorical master narratives, she argues that these novels destabilize the traditional function of myth in their self-conscious reexamination of historical events from a postcolonial perspective. Through detailed readings of François Barcelo's La Tribu, George Bowering's Burning Water, Jacques Godbout's Les Têtes à Papineau, Joy Kogawa's Obasan, Jovette Marchessault's Comme une enfant de la terre, and Rudy Wiebe's The Scorched-Wood People, Vautier situates New World myth within the broader contexts of political history and of classical, biblical, and historical myths.

Death in the Peaceable Kingdom
Author: Dimitry Anastakis
Publisher: University of Toronto Press
ISBN: 1442606363
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 337
Book Description
Death in the Peaceable Kingdom is an intelligent, innovative response to the incorrect assumption that Canadian history is dry and uninspiring. Using the "hooks" of murder, execution, assassination, and suicide, Dimitry Anastakis introduces readers to the full scope of post-Confederation Canadian history. Beginning with the assassination of Thomas D'Arcy McGee, Anastakis recounts the deaths of famous Canadians such as Louis Riel, Tom Thomson, and Pierre Laporte. He also introduces lesser-known events such as the execution of shell-shocked deserter Pte. Harold Carter during the First World War and the suicide of suspected communist Herbert Norman in Cairo during the Cold War. The book concludes with recent Canadian deaths including the suicides of Amanda Todd and Rehtaeh Parsons as a result of cyberbullying. Complementing the chapters are short vignettes--"Murderous Moments" and "Tragic Tales"--that point to broader themes and issues. The book also contains a number of "Active History" exercises such as activities, assignments, and primary document analyses. A timeline, 24 images, and further reading suggestions are included.
