Book Description
Following the success of 'The Funeral Celebrant's Handbook', Barry H Young OAM has been inspired to write a sequel offering an abundance of choices of poems, prose and prayers to assist practising and aspiring funeral celebrants when planning a funeral. Families who wish to actually participate during the ceremony will also find a great depth of choice in this carefully considered volume which, like 'The Funeral Celebrant's Handbook', is also presented in orderly sequential sections (passages), beginning with meaningful, relevant and heartfelt openings through to the Committal and Benediction. Barry Young prefaces each passage with moving words of wisdom about the actual messages or thoughts that the readings following will impart. There are passages suitable for funeral ceremonies for the elderly, middle-aged, teenagers, babies, tragic occurrences, suicides and the lonely; those who cut themselves off from society; those without family and those affected by illnesses and drugs. It provides tributes from husbands and wives, tributes from sons and daughters, grandchildren and those who have served in the forces. Barry H Young OAM has been a member of the Australian Federation of Grief Celebrants since 1998. To hear him present a Farewell or Memorial Service is to be amongst the privileged. Being mindful of grief and the provision of comfort to young and old on his journey as a funeral celebrant, he has seen a need for such a book to assist celebrants to make each ceremony unique and meaningful for the loved ones. This book gives many inspirational choices of readings; it will also become a treasured and relevant handbook for celebrants.

Book Description
Psalm 23 is by far the most recognized bereavement passage of scripture in the Bible to both believers and nonbelievers alike. I will be the first to acknowledge its time-tested ability to soften the sting of death and provide comforting words of hope and assurance. I have witnessed firsthand how it can soothe the pain of loss and loneliness when someone we love has been taken away from us. The bereavement side of Psalm 23 is important and necessary as long as we realize that there is another side of Psalm 23. The Other Side of Psalm 23 was first presented in a series of sermons. In 2018, my doctoral dissertation was based on those sermons. Today they are presented in this book for your review and consideration.

Book Description
This book introduces and critically explores walking as an innovative method for doing social research, showing how its sensate and kinaesthetic attributes facilitate connections with lived experiences, journeys and memories, communities and identities. The book situates walking methods historically, sociologically, and in relation to biographical and arts-based research, as well as new work on mobilities, the digital, spatial, and the sensory. The book is organised into three sections: theorising; experiencing; and imagining walking as a new method for doing biographical research. There is a key focus upon the Walking Interview as a Biographical Method (WIBM) on the move to usefully explore migration, memory, and urban landscapes, as part of participatory, visual, and ethnographic research with marginalised communities and artists and as re-formative and transgressive. The book concludes with autobiographical walks taken by the authors and a discussion about the future of the walking interview as biographical method. Walking Methods combines theory with a series of original ethnographic and participatory research examples. Practical exercises and a guide to using walking as a method help to make this a rich resource for social science researchers, students, walking artists, and biographical researchers.

Book Description
My husband began transcribing this book in March, 2000 and continued through March, 2005. He was unable to complete it due to his sudden and unexpected death in October, 2005. In order to fulfill his wishes and to share his story with others I have completed his book as best as I could through many tears and with the help of the Lord. This book is a story of love, faith and hope in the midst of sorrow, suffering and loss. It is the story of trusting in "The Love of A Father" when life can sometimes be at it's worst, when we are suffering and when nothing seems to make any sense. It begins with my husband's miraculous healing as a small child and how God spared his life with His ever loving hand and has guided our lives for His plan and purposes. When a young man from a small coal mining town in West Virginia and a young girl from a large city in Virginia meet at a local grocery food chain store their lives would be instantly changed forever. Edward ("Eddie") and Shirley Smith were married in 1963 and were devoted in marriage for 42 years. They have shared their very personal story in a hope that it will be a source of strength and encouragement for others. They have two children, one who went to be with the Lord in 1985, and three grandsons, one a heart transplant recipient and cancer survivor. Their marriage was like a fairy-tale romance and was truly apparent in the genuine love and respect that they had for each other. Through their many trials and heartaches they remained steadfast in their love for each other and in their faith and trust in Almighty God.
