God sent his word, and healed me, so that my youth was renewed likethe eagles. I was ashamed, 'yea, confounded, because 'of the iniquity of my doubts, mistrusts, and unbelieving suspicions of God's faithfulness. Lbowed before him, and worshipped him, in spirit and in truth, repenting in dust and'ashes, saying: beholdri am vile, and am not worthy of the least -of all thy mercies'and truth, which thou hast hitherto shewn towards thy servant. O Lord strengthen thou me, and make my fore head like adamant, that I may endure all long suflfering' with joyfulness. I was made to see the blessed face of him, in whom alone the Father 'is well pleased with us as it is written (here) I will no more be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. Instead of rebukes, he commanded the best robe to be brought, the ring also, and the shoes; I was made again to feed upon the fatted calf, while God extended peace to me like a river. My cup ran over, and with-flowing tears of con trition, I blessed him with joyful lips. I found him indeed; glorious in holiness, and fearful in praises, doing wonders.
