Resumen: En el desarrollo del presente trabajo se verificaron, implementaron y mejoraron, teniendo en cuenta las exigencias contempladas en la norma internacional ISOIEC 17025, los procedimientos técnicos de ensayo en el área de metrología electromédica correspondientes a seis equipos electromédicos: Pulsioxímetros, Incubadoras Neonatales, Electrocardiógrafos, Seguridad Eléctrica, Ventiladores Pulmonares y Lámparas de Fototerapia; presentes en el Laboratorio de Metrología de Variables Eléctricas de la UTP, para ello se realizaron ensayos con equipos patrones de propiedad del laboratorio usando como equipos bajo prueba aquellos que fueron facilitados por el Hospital Universitario San Jorge de la ciudad de Pereira y otros equipos pertenecientes a la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud de la UTP. Se identificaron aspectos relevantes de los procedimientos existentes para los seis equipos analizados en el presente trabajo; como lo fueron métodos para la toma de datos, análisis y estimación de la incertidumbre, pruebas necesarias e innecesarias en los ensayos y el software implementado en el laboratorio. Una gran parte de los procedimientos de ensayo se encontraron acordes a los requisitos establecidos por la norma ISO/IEC 17025 como lo fueron los ensayos para electrocardiógrafos, incubadoras neonatales, ventiladores pulmonares y seguridad eléctrica; en los cuales los únicos cambios realizados fueron de forma; en cambio en los ensayos para pulsioxímetros y lámparas de fototerapia se hizo necesario un análisis mas cuidadoso y riguroso que originó modificaciones de forma y fondo en estos ensayos, tomando mayor relevancia los cambios realizados en los métodos respectivos para ubicar los puntos de medida.
