Introduction : Le médecin généraliste a un rôle central dans la promotion et l'éducation pour la santé dans une approche globale du patient, notamment dans la santé sexuelle. L'entrée dans la sexualité est une expérience adolescente où les filles sont les plus vulnérables. Objectif : Nous avons voulu étudier le vécu et les représentations du premier rapport sexuel des adolescentes. Méthodes : Nous avons mené une étude qualitative par entretiens individuels semi-dirigés auprès de dix adolescentes d'Île-de-France. Le codage descriptif et thématique a été fait entretien par entretien, selon la méthodologie de l'analyse phénoménologique interprétative (IPA), et un modèle explicatif a été construit. Résultats : Dix entretiens ont été réalisés. La survenue du premier rapport sexuel nécessitait de réunir certaines conditions. L'évènement était appréhendé et il fallait qu'il soit réussi. Généralement bien vécu, il était source de changement personnel, interindividuel et conjugal. La mère, les copines, l'école et la pornographie influaient sur le déroulement et les représentations. Le médecin généraliste n'était pas sollicité, bien que considéré comme un interlocuteur légitime. Des normes de genre dans la sexualité étaient perçues, de manière plus marquée chez les adolescentes de milieu populaire. Conclusion : Le premier rapport sexuel est un évènement biographique marquant pour les adolescentes qui doit répondre à un certain nombre d'exigences pour être vécu positivement. Les médecins généralistes peuvent profiter de la légitimité qui leur est attribuée pour aborder la sexualité.

This book presents the very first analysis of male homosexuality in modern rural Thailand that is based on sociological/anthropological research directly with 25 young same-sex attracted men. It explores changes in the way men view and describe their sexuality over time by interviewing them three times over a period of around 18 months. The men are followed during an important transition in their lives: the end of their high school years and the end (in most cases) of their life as a child with parents or extended family at a rural home. Nearly all decided to move to a city to continue their education or to find work. Some also had stints with sex work in one of Thailand’s well-known centers for prostitution. For nearly all men, this transition brought them into contact with new ideas about gender and sexuality, and many experienced an abrupt increase in their opportunities to have sex, leading to a readjustment of their moral universes. The book presents significant new insights about the Thai sex/gender system, particularly on how it is affected by processes of globalization and the ascent of the Internet and mobile phones as tools for dating and romance.
