It is ideal for children who have learnt most of their times tables but need a fun way to practise them from time to time or to help them get quicker. Check it out by clicking on the "LOOK INSIDE" option. This is so much more motivating than just doing worksheets.Many schools will suggest a quick 10 minutes a day to revise. Don't give your child a worksheet! Let them play one of the "solitaire" versions suggested in the book. Set them a target - "How many squares can you solve and colour in 10 minutes?" "See if you can get 3 pentominoes coloured!" Better still, play the game with them. You can pick up any stumbling blocks they have and help them through them. You will get quicker as well! - And it will will be more fun for you (or older siblings) than listening to the tables being parroted to you. Although the emphasis in the game is on multiplication, the children will also get used to looking at the numbers left on the grid and working on what they need to throw. The best thing about this is that it happens automatically in the context of the game. The child thinks "I want that square - 56 - I hope I throw an 8 or a 7!" And there you have it! Now they are working on their multiplication and division.
