This study approaches the religion of ancient Egypt from a theological stance, treating the mythic corpus of Egypt not as a mere collection of legends and traditions about the gods, but rather as a carefully constructed system of mythic symbolism. The author demonstrates that the mythic system of ancient Egypt was an articulation of a highly sophisticated and intellectual theological insight into the nature of the universe, an insight which produced an integrated perception of reality and expressed the basic order and unity apparent to the Egyptian mind in all levels of existence. My book titled "Alzheimer's Unmasked" is the culmination of over 7 years of self-funded, full-time research that started in 1998. The initial goal was to identify what causes the neurodegenerative disease known as Alzheimer's dementia. What advances this disease from mild cognitive impairment, to moderate cognitive impairment, and finally to the end stage of severe cognitive impairment, which terminates in death. Alzheimer's dementia completely destroyed my mother's cognitive functions over a 10 year period of time. She died in May of 1999. My research was unproductive until this disease started to affect me. Using a 3 year process of elimination diet and testing on myself, I was able to isolate what caused my Cognitive impairment. It took a couple more years of research before I was able to understand the mechanisms involved. Trace minerals, by themselves will not reverse Alzheimer's, but, I have found that by using them in conjunction with a restricted diet that removes certain chemicals in the foods I eat, I have completely restored my cognitive functions back to normal. If you are looking for answers as to what causes this Alzheimer's disease and what to do about it, you will want to read "Alzheimer's Unmasked".

Before dealing with the special varieties of the Egyptians' belief in gods, it is best to try to avoid a misunderstanding of their whole conception of the supernatural. The term god has come to tacitly imply to our minds such a highly specialized group of attributes, that we can hardly throw our ideas back into the more remote conceptions to which we also attach the same name. It is unfortunate that every other word for supernatural intelligence has become debased so that we cannot well speak of demons, devils, ghosts, or fairies without implying a noxious or a trifling meaning, quite unsuited to the ancient deities that were so beneficent and powerful. If then we use the word god for such conceptions, it must always be with the reservation that the word has now a vastly different meaning from what it had to ancient minds.

Excerpt from Thoth the Hermes of Egypt: A Study of Some Aspects of Theological Thought in Ancient Egypt The purpose of this essay is to indicate the chief tendencies of ancient Egyptian speculation in regard to the god Thoth. Taking as the basis of his work a fairly complete examination of the chief references to the god in Egyptian literature and ritual, the author has tried to distinguish the more important phases of Thoth's character as they were conceived by the Egyptians, and to show how these aspects, or phases, of his being help to explain the various activities which are assigned to him in the Egyptian legends of the gods, and in the ritual of tombs and temples. An attempt has been made, in many instances, to discover the simple concrete meaning which often underlies characteristic epithets of the god, and the need of seeking groupings among epithets which can in any way be associated with well-defined activities or aspects of the god has been emphasised. The author has not aimed at anything like a full analysis of the individuality of the god. That would have demanded a much closer and more detailed study of Egyptian religious literature, and a more extensive recording of results, than Egyptological scholarship has hitherto attempted in regard to any problem of ancient Egyptian religion. It will be noticed that texts derived from the Egyptian literature of the Graeco-Roman period have been freely used throughout this essay.
