John Battin (1681- 17213), was born in Berkshire Co., England and died in Chester Co., Pa. He married ca. 1712 Elizabeth Deacon (ca. 1692-1777). They had seven children, oldest born in Ardington Parish, Berkshire, England and the rest in Chester Co., Pennsylvania. Descendants live in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Colorado and elsewhere.
