The aviation law is considered a matter of international law due to the nature of air travel. The business aspects of airlines also fall under aviation law. In the international realm, the International Civil Aviation Organization provides general rules and mediates international concerns to an extent regarding aviation law. Aviation law in India refers to the group of statutes that regulates both aircraft and their facilities. Although states are able to enact some of their own laws related to air travel and the major governing bodies are federal. The two most important players in aviation law are the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the federal aviation administration. The federal aviation administration is responsible for ensuring that the manufacture, operation, and maintenance of all aircraft meet minimum standards and all current regulations. The NTSB is responsible for improving air travel safety by investigating all accidents and problems related to the aviation industry and recommending any changes, which may be necessary.
