Book Description
On a hot August day in Tennessee, C. C. Andrews received news that no mother ever wants to hear. Four of her five sons had been involved in a terrible car accident. Arriving at the scene of the crash, C. C. discovered that all four brothers were badly injured and pinned in the vehicle. As she watched, rescuers laboriously removed them from the twisted wreckage one-by-one. All four boys had to be life-flighted to Vanderbilt. Her youngest son, six-year-old Jackson, was pulled from the crash paralyzed due to his injuries. As his brothers slowly recovered and Jackson clung to life, C. C. remained unaware of the miracle that occurred that fateful day in August: Jackson had died in that car, only to return with an amazing story to share. In the few short seconds he had died at the scene of the accident, the young boy saw Heaven and spoke with Jesus. His observations appear throughout the book-a testament to God's love and the family's faith. What follows is the inspiring story of how the Andrews family, together with friends and prayer warriors, coped with this tragedy. Walk with C.C. as she journals her and her family's journey on social media the months following the accident while her children fight for their lives. Her Facebook posts chronicle her family's story, graphically illustrating her fears, hopes, and faith. The Roadway to Heaven is a true story about a family who had to face the unthinkable. About a mother's love, heartache, and the struggle to accept that according to the doctors, her son would never walk again. The story of a six-year-old boy whose experience in Heaven helped pull a family back together.

Book Description
In 1989, Bill Porter, having spent much of his life studying and translating Chinese religious and philosophical texts, began to wonder if the Buddhist hermit tradition still existed in China. At the time, it was believed that the Cultural Revolution had dealt a lethal blow to all religions in China, destroying countless temples and shrines, and forcibly returning thousands of monks and nuns to a lay life. But when Porter travels to the Chungnan mountains — the historical refuge of ancient hermits — he discovers that the hermit tradition is very much alive, as dozens of monks and nuns continue to lead solitary lives in quiet contemplation of their faith deep in the mountains. Part travelogue, part history, part sociology, and part religious study, this record of extraordinary journeys to an unknown China sheds light on a phenomenon unparalleled in the West. Porter's discovery is more than a revelation, and uncovers the glimmer of hope for the future of religion in China.

Book Description
Almost 60 percent of those in American evangelical churches believe that many religions can lead to eternal life. But if Jesus is to be trusted when he says that no one comes to the Father except through him, the church is failing in its mission. And it's not hard to guess why. An exclusive Jesus just isn't popular in our inclusive world. Dr. Robert Jeffress calls on Christians to recover the exclusive claims of the one they claim as Lord and Savior, not as a way to keep people out of heaven but as the only way to invite them in. He tackles questions like - Can people be saved who have never heard of Christ? - What about those who worship God by another name? - Do children automatically go to Heaven when they die? True compassion for non-Christians doesn't lie in letting them go their way while we go ours, but in sharing the only true way with them.

Book Description
Tolerance and co-existence are both great! In fact, they are necessary. If we are to live together in peace without hating each other, or physically harming each other over differences in race, culture, sexual orientation, political views, and religious beliefs, we must have tolerance. However, we must also recognize that every belief can't be equally valid. If two beliefs directly contradict each other, both of them cannot be true, no matter how "tolerant" we become. This means it is false to say that every religion is true, or that every religion leads to God. When people make such claims they show that they have not taken the time to study the world's religions, because a brief reading of the sacred texts of only a handful of religions quickly reveals contradictions on the most fundamental levels. Religious Contradictions Reincarnation (Hinduism and Buddhism) contradicts the belief that this is your only life before eternity (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam). Salvation from sin (Christianity) contradicts the belief that there is no sin to be saved from but simply pain that can be escaped through enlightenment (Buddhism). Jesus Christ is the incarnate, Son of God (Christianity), contradicts the teaching that he is just a prophet (Islam) or that he was a false prophet (Judaism). In light of these contradictions alone, all religions can't be true. They could all be false, but they can't all be true. Are any of them true? This is the most important question anyone can ask. Recognize religious contradictions. Embrace them. Test them. Seek the truth. www.contradictmovement.org

Book Description
Hieronymous Bosch (c. 1450-1516) was a remarkable artist from the Netherlands who left an indelible mark on the imagination of the world. He was one of the few artists who rose above the conventions of his time and created a new visual language of macabre symbolism, sometimes a literal translation of verbal metaphors found in the Bible. He gave his imagination free rein in works, his paintings populated with grotesque scenes using images of demons and other fantastical creatures to portray the lacking morality of man. Bosch produced at least sixteen triptychs, of which eight are fully intact, and another five in fragments. His most famous work, The Garden of Earthly Delights, depicts the decline of the world through sin, a beautiful garden becoming a dark, fiery nightmare. Like so many of his pieces, it serves as a visual lecture on morality. Hertogenbosch, a city in the Netherlands and Bosch's hometown, celebrates the life and works of the artist in 2016, starting with the largest retrospective ever of Bosch's work being exhibited at the Noordbrabants Museum, 12th February - 8th May. Theatre, dance and musical extravaganzas inspired by Bosch's work will be performed around the city, including a spectacular light show that will be presented on the city's market square. Jheronimus- The Road to Heaven and Hell is essential reading for all Bosch enthusiasts and a perfect introduction for those new to this incredible artist.
