All this material is typewritten in double Spacing, except the quotations used, which are in single space type. The whole is fully documented; footnotes at the bottom of the pages give references to the authorities mentioned in the Bibliography; a different notation marks the notices in the Appendix, a collection of valuable material which even if standing alone would abundantly justify publi cation. His treatment of Longwood College is most complete and comprehensive, showing that Prince Edward did not neglect the education of its young women.
