These changes, in turn, will disrupt agriculture production, inundate cities on the seashore, and make much of the world uninhabitable. Unfortunately, most governments are ignoring the threat. If we learn our lessons in the wake of COVID-19 and other pandemics and about the consequences of inaction, we shall be more prepared to save lives and future generations.
