Effects of Attempted Weight Reduction on the Ability of High School Wrestlers to Process Information
Author: Peter Matthew Sirna
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 76
Book Description
Choice reaction time improved across test sessions for both groups, however the reducing group posted slower choice reaction times than the control group at each test. Response accuracy on the vigilance test was higher for the experimental group in both test sessions. Vigilance test response reaction times were found to increase for both groups at session two. Attempted rapid weight reduction appeared to effect only the CRT scores, as tapping rate and vigilance accuracy were actually better with the weight reduction group.
