After the exciting events of the first novel "Zero Moment" and the second "The Sect" of the Son of Chaos series, it is more necessary to know this unidentified hero, so what is his story? Between Pharaonic curses and Turkish-Arab origins, there is a dangerous secret that men gave their lives decades ago, to preserve it, a story of violence and madness was born to create an exceptional situation. In this world, beginnings decide your fate, and many times, heroes are made from very strange beginnings, a mixture of cruelty, pain, and loss. Although this book is a part of the Son of Chaos series of novels, its events do not take place in the same setting as those in the other books in the series or even during the same time period. Instead, they occur very far in the past in the fictional timeline, where the beginning, which was inevitable, to make its hero, is a moment on the fabric of time, which we cannot ignore. If you love the character of Baibars from the book Zero Moment and are eager to read the rest of his story in the book The Moment of Baibars, the final book in this series, then, my friend, you have the right to know who he is. In order to get to know someone well, you need to be aware of their past, which spans many years before their birth. Your destiny is determined by your beginnings, whether you like it or not. What is important is who you are going to be tomorrow! -The thief of memories came to me and offered me a number of alluring contracts, promising to remove all of my terrible memories. When he eventually departed, I felt like a lump of joy and pleasure, and I was just about to accept his offer when I suddenly thought of you. -He was struck by chaos, polished by randomly, wrestled with him and wrestled with it, wrestled with it until he tamed it, and he became its brother, friend, and son. -From an early age, he did not enjoy safety and stability, he lived in the midst of hurricanes of chaos, and the heart of randomness. He became the son of shadows and their master. He deserved the nickname he called himself "Son of Chaos."

Governing Natural Resources for Sustainable Peace in Africa
Author: Obasesam Okoi
Publisher: Taylor & Francis
ISBN: 1003830188
Category : Nature
Languages : en
Pages : 188
Book Description
This book examines the dynamics of natural resource conflicts in Africa and explores the different governance approaches for securing sustainable peace. One of the most prominent challenges facing Africa today is the consequences of natural resource extraction. While these resources hold the potential for economic transformation across Africa, their extraction also comes with a range of environmental, social, and economic consequences, including issues related to governance. This book assembles a unique cohort of peacebuilding, environmental justice, and sustainable development scholars and practitioners from Africa and beyond to examine the dynamics of natural resource conflict and explore the governance approaches that offer pathways for sustainable peace in Africa. Drawing on case studies and empirical lessons from the Horn of Africa, Southern Africa, West Africa, East Africa, and the Central Sahel region, along with the African Union, the multidisciplinary contributors offer fresh insights into the nature of natural resource conflict in Africa, delve deeper into the complexities of natural resource governance, and highlight the interplay between resource governance and sustainable peace. By shedding light not only on Africa’s experiences and vulnerabilities but also on the challenges of natural resource governance, this book fills a crucial gap in understanding the connection between natural resource governance, conflict, and pathways for sustainable peace in Africa. Drawing on a range of disciplinary perspectives, this book will be of interest to students and scholars of natural resource governance, peace and conflict studies, environmental policy and justice, sustainable development, security studies and African studies more widely.

New Frontiers in Popular Romance
Author: Susan Fanetti
Publisher: McFarland
ISBN: 1476682461
Category : Literary Criticism
Languages : en
Pages : 247
Book Description
In the twenty-first century, the romance genre has gained a growing academic response, including the creation of the International Association for the Study of Popular Romance. Popular romance has long been so ignored and maligned that seemingly every scholarly work on it opens with a lengthy defense of the genre and its value for academic study. Even the early scholarly works on the genre approach it in ways that, while primarily respectful, make sweeping generalizations about popular romance, its texts, and its readers. This essay collection examines the position of the romance genre in the twenty-first century, and the ways in which romance responds to and influences the culture and community in which it exists. Essays are divided into six sections, which cover the genre's relationship with masculinity, the importance of consent, historical romance, representation, social status and web-based romance fiction.

Book Description
Challenging conventional notions about the place of women in Muslim societies, the Bihishti Zewar (Heavenly Ornaments) gives life to the themes of religious and social reform that have too often been treated in the abstract. This instructional guidebook, used by the world's largest population of Muslims, is a vital source for those interested in modern Indian social and intellectual history, in Islamic reform, and in conceptions of gender and women's roles. The Bihishti Zewar was written in northern India in the early 1900s by a revered Muslim scholar and spiritual guide, Maulana Ashraf 'Ali Thanawi (1864-1943), to instruct Muslim girls and women in religious teachings, proper behavior, and prudent conduct of their everyday lives. In so doing, it sets out the core of a reformist version of Islam that has become increasingly prominent across Muslim societies during the past hundred years. Throughout the work, nothing is more striking than the extent to which the book takes women and men as essentially the same, in contrast to European works directed toward women at this time. Its rich descriptions of the everyday life of the relatively privileged classes in turn-of-the-century north India provide information on issues of personality formation as well as on family life, social relations, household management, and encounters with new institutions and inventions. Barbara Metcalf has carefully selected those sections of the Bihishti Zewar that best illustrate the themes of reformist thought about God, the person, society, and gender. She provides a substantial introduction to the text and to each section, as well as detailed annotations.
