Book Description
Excerpt from The Criminal Code and the Law of Criminal Evidence in Canada: Being an Annotation of the Criminal Code of Canada, and of the Canada Evidence Act, With Special Reference to the Law of Evidence and the Procedure in Criminal Courts The re-arrangement of the sections of the Criminal Code by the general revision of the statutes of Canada in 1906, and the many changes made in both the Code and the Canada Evidence Act since the first edition, have created a demand for a new practice book on Canadian criminal law, which I have attempted to supply by this compilation. The annotations in the first edition have been thoroughly revised and supplemented with the decisions reported down to the end of March, 1908. I desire to express my acknowl edgments to the members of the Bench and Bar who have from time to time favoured me with their suggestions, which have largely contributed to the improvements of this edition.
