Book Description
This book is so different from the eighteen titles that I came up with to name it. It is the best of the three that are written of the series The Caleb: A Christian Dog! This one you may wish to have if only for The Spiritual Warfare Prayer. The rest of this book is also just amazing to me. God is the one who gave me the title of this book. It was not one of the eighteen that I came up with. I always have to wait on God to give me everything about the books I write. He doesnt inspire me to write. He enables my crippled body to perform the task of writing. I cannot see very well. I cannot type. I cannot remember what I thought to write. I also cannot sit without causing much pain. I get bed sores now that are a new painful experience for me. I give Jesus all the credit for my published books, along with Microsoft Disabilities and a few Filipinos from Xlibris Publishing. This book takes you through mostly nonfiction stories that actually happened. Some are dramatized for expressions sake. Most can be backed up with scripture from the Holy Bible. The pictures are real. Caleb and I are real. This book, like most of my books, is a one-of-a-kind book, but it can be used more than any other of the series as a reference book. This one can be made into a Christian movie also. It informs you of the plight of people who may be way less fortunate than we are. It may give you hope for the situation that you are dealing with. Some parts of this book are sad, but then it will turn around to hope and gratitude if you let it. Jesus wants to give all people his best, but there are certain things we must do to get that. The only three days I did not get demonically attacked to some degree since publishing The Caleb series for five months up to six times a day is when I recited the Spiritual Warfare Prayer out loud to myself or someone else. I hope this book helps you to achieve his best blessings! One of my best blessings is the fact that besides my getting saved, he gave me Caleb to take care of. Is that true, or is it Caleb who takes care of me?

“The Caleb”
Author: Diann Ross Woodbury
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 1524547115
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 195
Book Description
This is a book about the journey of Caleb, an English talking dog, and his mom who travel to the Philippines and around the United States and England. Book two is for children ages twelve and upwards until death takes us hopefully home to heaven. The theme of this book is based on Hosea 4:6. It is about the good and bad attitudes and practices of varying people and their cultures. It will address the dangers of playing around with sorcery and magic and witchcraft in so-called harmless readings and movies, which are dangerous and dead against the Holy Bibles teaching. God does not approve of such activities! It does not please God for people to indulge in certain such practices. This book will try to explain why it is so important to preserve the moral values and ethics of previous generations and train up our children in the way they should be raised (Prov. 22:6) in order to have good moral values and ethics and, therefore, how to have better wisdom and happier lives. Some people are very nice and try to please God, but they are simply ignorant of such topics. By following after the teachings and footsteps of Jesus Christ and some of the Old Testament in the Bible, you can be taught how to achieve the wisdom to do the above to the best of your ability. It takes a lot of courage to be a good Christian. It is better to be a good Christian than to be politically correct. Jesus believed that in his day, and it is still true for any generation. We are to be in the world and not of the world. We are supposed to pay our bills and follow the laws of our country. We are to teach our children correct morals in the world. When we put money, fame, material things, friendships, or anything ahead of God Almighty, that is of the world and is a form of idolatry. Thou shall have no other gods before me (Ex. 20:3). The Caleb is an example of how a good Christian tries to be. Most children and a lot of adults love dogs. Dogs can be wonderful. Why not learn from a good Christian dog?

Messy Grace
Author: Caleb Kaltenbach
Publisher: WaterBrook
ISBN: 1601427379
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 226
Book Description
Sometimes, grace gets messy. Caleb Kaltenbach was raised by LGBT parents, marched in gay pride parades as a youngster, and experienced firsthand the hatred and bitterness of some Christians toward his family. But then Caleb surprised everyone, including himself, by becoming a Christian…and a pastor. Very few issues in Christianity are as divisive as the acceptance of the LGBT community in the church. As a pastor and as a person with beloved family members living a gay lifestyle, Caleb had to face this issue with courage and grace. Messy Grace shows us that Jesus’s command to “love your neighbor as yourself” doesn’t have an exception clause for a gay “neighbor”—or for that matter, any other “neighbor” we might find it hard to relate to. Jesus was able to love these people and yet still hold on to his beliefs. So can you. Even when it’s messy. “Messy Grace is an important contribution to the conversation about sexual identity for churches and leaders. Caleb's story is surprising and unique, and he weaves it together compellingly. He states his views clearly, leaves room for disagreement, and champions love no matter where you are in this conversation.” —Jud Wilhite, Sr. Pastor, Central Christian Church

Paradise Valley (The Daughters of Caleb Bender Book #1)
Author: Dale Cramer
Publisher: Bethany House
ISBN: 1441214089
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 367
Book Description
An Amish settlement in Ohio has run afoul of a law requiring their children to attend public school. Caleb Bender and his neighbors are arrested for neglect, with the state ordering the children be placed in an institution. Among them are Caleb's teenage daughter, Rachel, and the boy she has her eye on, Jake Weaver. Romance blooms between the two when Rachel helps Jake escape the children's home. Searching for a place to relocate his family where no such laws apply, Caleb learns there's inexpensive land for sale in Mexico, a place called Paradise Valley. Despite rumors of instability in the wake of the Mexican revolution, the Amish community decides this is their answer. And since it was Caleb's idea, he and his family will be the pioneers. They will send for the others once he's established a foothold and assessed the situation. Caleb's daughters are thrown into turmoil. Rachel doesn't want to leave Jake. Her sister, Emma, who has been courting Levi Mullet, fears her dreams of marriage will be dashed. Miriam has never had a beau and is acutely aware there will be no prospects in Mexico. Once there, they meet Domingo, a young man and guide who takes a liking to Miriam, something her father would never approve. While Paradise Valley is everything they'd hoped it would be, it isn't long before the bandits start giving them trouble, threatening to upset the fledgling Amish settlement, even putting their lives in danger. Thankfully no one has been harmed so far, anyway.

Worship by the Book
Author: Rev. Mark Ashton
Publisher: Zondervan
ISBN: 0310874297
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 260
Book Description
“What is at stake is authenticity. . . . Sooner or later Christians tire of public meetings that are profoundly inauthentic, regardless of how well (or poorly) arranged, directed, performed. We long to meet, corporately, with the living and majestic God and to offer him the praise that is his due.”—D. A. CarsonWorship is a hot topic, but the ways that Christians from different traditions view it vary greatly. What is worship? More important, what does it look like in action, both in our corporate gatherings and in our daily lives? These concerns—the blending of principle and practice—are what Worship by the Book addresses.Cutting through cultural clichés, D. A. Carson, Mark Ashton, Kent Hughes, and Timothy Keller explore, respectively:· Worship Under the Word· Following in Cranmer’s Footsteps· Free Church Worship: The Challenge of Freedom· Reformed Worship in the Global City “This is not a comprehensive theology of worship,” writes Carson. “Still less is it a sociological analysis of current trends or a minister’s manual chockfull of ‘how to’ instructions.” Rather, this book offers pastors, other congregational leaders, and seminary students a thought-provoking biblical theology of worship, followed by a look at how three very different traditions of churchmanship might move from this theological base to a better understanding of corporate worship. Running the gamut from biblical theology to historical assessment all the way to sample service sheets, Worship by the Book shows how local churches in diverse traditions can foster corporate worship that is God-honoring, Word-revering, heartfelt, and historically and culturally informed.
